Reports To: Inventory Managers / Operations Officer
Position Summary:
The Assistant Inventory Associate plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day inventory
operations of the dispensary. This position is responsible for assisting with receiving product,
maintaining accurate inventory records, preparing product for the sales floor, and ensuring
compliance with all state and local cannabis regulations. The ideal candidate is organized,
detail-oriented, and works well in a fast-paced, regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist in receiving and verifying deliveries of cannabis and non-cannabis products.
● Support the inventory team with data entry and product intake in the POS and METRC
tracking systems.
● Organize and label inventory for both back-of-house and sales floor displays.
● Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
● Assist in preparing inventory for sales, promotions, and product rollouts.
● Help identify discrepancies in product counts and investigate causes.
● Maintain compliance with all local and state regulations regarding cannabis inventory.
● Ensure proper storage and security of all inventory.
● Maintain cleanliness and organization in inventory storage areas.
● Support budtenders with inventory-related tasks as needed.
● Report inventory issues or concerns promptly to Inventory Manager.
Qualifications:
● Previous inventory, retail, or cannabis industry experience preferred but not required.
● Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
● Comfortable with technology, including inventory software and spreadsheets.
● Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods.
Preferred Skills:
● Familiarity with METRC or other seed-to-sale systems.
● Experience in a highly regulated industry.
● Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Working Conditions:
